Peter R. Barnett joined CWLH as an associate in 2018. Mr. Barnett’s practice focuses on all aspects of insurance defense, including first party coverage, bad faith, and third party defense.
Mr. Barnett received his B.A. in International Studies and Political Science from the University of Washington in 2010. He then received his J.D. from New England School of Law in Boston in 2014. During law school, Mr. Barnett earned a fellowship through the Business Law Center where he focused on labor and employment law. During his second year of law school, Peter served as a clerk for Cambridge & Somerville legal services where he devoted time helping indigent clients with a variety of legal issues. He returned back to the Pacific Northwest where he continued his dedication to public service volunteering at the KCBA Neighborhood Clinic in Lake City.
Peter’s prior experience includes corporate compliance, foreclosure defense, mediation, and a variety of real estate matters. Mr. Barnett is admitted to practice in Washington State, the United States District Court for the Western & Eastern District of Washington, and is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the King County Bar Association.
